(21-25 November 2016 , Nairobi-KENYA) 10th Onsite Aircraft Accident Investigation Techniques

In line with AFCAC’s vision to foster a safe, secure, efficient, cost effective, sustainable and environmentally friendly civil aviation industry in Africa, the 10th AFCAC-CAAS On-site “Aircraft Accident Investigation Techniques” for 2016, jointly organized by AFCAC and Singapore is being held at the East African School of Aviation (EASA) in Nairobi, Kenya, from 21-25 November 2016, for Investigators and Investigation Personnel of AFCAC member States.The five-day course, which is being hosted by the government of Kenya, through the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA), is conducted by the Singapore Aviation Academy in the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between AFCAC and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) in a bid to assist African Aviation Professionals to improve the level of implementation of the ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices, especially the SARPs related to Accidents and serious incidents investigations. A total number of 34 participants from 13 States, namely: Benin, Botswana, Ethiopia, The Gambia (BAGAIA), Kenya, Niger, Nigeria, Seychelles, Somalia, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo and Uganda are in attendance. The expectation of AFCAC and CAAS is that at the end of the Course, all Participants will be able to review and update procedures and mechanisms relating to Accident investigation in their respective Administrations/Organizations.
 

(22-26 August 2016, Dakar-Senegal) ACI Course - Aerodrome Certification

In the framework of cooperation between the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC) and Airports Council International (ACI), an ACI-ICAO aerodrome certification training course will be organized in  the Conference Room of the AFCAC Headquarters in Dakar, Senegal, from 22-26 August 2016.Jointly developed with ICAO, this course will explain the certification process applied by States regulators an exactly what aerodromes need to do to become certified and to remain certified as traffic grows and the aerodrome expands for the future.Lectures will be given in English and simultaneous translation in French will be provided.Please note that you can only designate a maximum of two(2) suitable persons to participate in the training session that should complete and return the registration form by email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. GCAA-UAE 4th African Women Internship Programme – November 2016

In the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), the 9th AFCAC-CAAS on-site training will be organized by the Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA) with the cooperation of the Civil Aviation Authority of Botswana (CAAB) in Gaborone, Botswana from 25-29 July 2016.

In view of this, AFCAC member States are invited to take advantage of this course and complete the attached application form and forward it to the following email addresses:

Under the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), the 8th AFCAC-CAAS On-Site Training on Safety Oversight Inspectors (Aerodrome) will be organized by the Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA) in cooperation with the Nigerian Civil Authority (NCAA) at the NCAA Training Centre in Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria from 30 May to 03 June 2016.
